6th February, 2020

Whites Group, the rural fencing and hardware specialist, has today announced the acquisition of Albury-based manufacturer, Frauenfelder. The move complements Whites’ strong brands with a world-class manufacturing facility and highlights the key synergies between the two businesses.

“Our key brands, Stockpost and Whites Rural, are nationally recognised. Rural fencing is fundamental to our business and Australian manufacturing is an imperative”, says Michael Kelly, chief executive officer, Whites Group.

“Australian fencing is amongst the best in the world. We are very fortunate to be gaining fantastic local staff with incredible know-how in a factory that is fully equipped with the latest fabricated fencing technology to bring high quality fencing to the market”, Mr Kelly continued.

The 6,000 square metre site started in gate manufacturing before moving into fence wire products. With over 60 years’ experience, Frauenfelder has been a significant player in the Australian fencing market and the Albury district of New South Wales.

“We are investing heavily in Albury. As a rural-based operation it is a unique regional manufacturing opportunity that keeps us close to the market and supportive of the local community”, added Mr Kelly.

Whites Group is a wholly Australian-owned and operated family business with over 40 years’ experience. With six locations nationally it services rural and hardware outlets nationally through a dedicated sales and merchandising team.
